Why silicone?

  • Silicone is one of the best materials for body safety.
  • We use 100% organic platinum silicone for all of our toys.
  • No phthalates!!!
  • Hypoallergenic and non- toxic.
  • It cannot harbor bacteria germs.
  • It has a softer feel to it which is pleasing to the touch.
  • It is odorless and tasteless.
  • Temperature resistant.
  • A sturdy long-lasting material that can last a lifetime if properly cared for.
  • Will not break down or leach chemicals over time.

A word about variants

Our toys are each individually hand poured and each one will have variations in texture, color as well as some small incremental variations in size. The toy you receive will look different than the one in the photo. They are works of art, each unique unto themselves.

A word about silicone being sticky/tacky feeling

This is just the way the highest quality silicone feels sometimes. It is not going to affect the use of the toy or its safety. The tackiness often goes away with use, but may return after a deep cleaning. It is OK. It is NOT a defect. It is still 100% body safe.  While not necessary, you can coat the toy with a thin layer of corn starch before storing, to eliminate the tackiness. Some companies also make dildo finishing powders, which do the same thing. Corn starch is just as good, cheaper, and can be purchased at any grocery store. You would simply wash the powder off when you are ready to use the toy.  DO NOT USE TALC!

Our Base

Is not a true suction cup. Our toys are made to be used with a harness, but we also want them to be great for solo play, so we have created a versatile base. While many of our customers find that our toys stick just fine for their needs, we do not guarantee that our toys will stick strongly to any surface. The exception to this is the Bronco and Ranger- which have a specialized suction cup base that sticks extremely well.

Care 101 – The Do’s and the Don’ts

We do not take responsibility for any contact-related or negligent damage caused by disregarding these instructions. The softer silicone formulas such as Vixskin and Vixskin X can be sensitive to adverse conditions and must be handled with thoughtful care.

The main things NOT to do:

Silicone, while durable, is not invincible. Bites, cuts and rough surfaces will ruin your toy. No teeth, no finger nails and no zippers! Make sure to use an O-Ring that is the correct size for the toy.  Do not leave the toy in a harness long term. Basically, anything that could cause micro abrasions or tears on the surface of the toy should be avoided.

Never use silicone or hybrid lubes. They cause a chemical reaction that will break down the surface of your toy. Only use water-based lube. This includes silicone lubed condoms.

Do not allow contact between Vixen Creation toys and other brands of toys. Silicone is sensitive to other materials and chemicals used in other types of toys and a chemical reaction happens that causes the silicone to break down.

Do not leave your toy in a harness after use. Remove, clean and store properly.

The things TO do:

Always clean your toy after use, and before the first time you use it.

You can boil it for a minimum of 3 minutes in water. This will make it as good as new! (A deep clean)

Regular cleaning can be done using a fragrance-free soap and water.

Ideally, we recommend storing your toy in its original packaging, by itself. A Ziploc freezer bag or a very soft fabric will also work. Just make sure the toy is thoroughly cleaned AND DRY before storing away, and remember to not store it along side other toys. (Unless they are other Vixen Creations toys.)

Also, ideally, store the toy standing up on its base. Especially if it will be stored away for a lengthy amount of time.
